Roofmaster Carpark Cladding Renewal
Roofmaster was commissioned to test the structural integrity of the existing concrete and replace existing cladding with new 0.7mm Profiled Cladding Panels. on a carpark near Heathrow in June 2025. The result was a refurbished, revamped, structurally safe multi storey car park, delivered on time and in budget.
Objective: Test, Repair & Refurbish
The carpark is a local authority owned by private sector leased facility of a large blue chip company near Heathrow providing their staff and visitors with safe secure parking.
As part of the ongoing maintenance of the integrity of the our client’s site, we were asked to strip of the existing cladding, inspect the existing concrete, perform “pull out” tests, install new cladding to the external elevations of the structure.
The project was completed on time and in budget and the carpark remained open for use with carefully coordinated planned cordons to ensure maximum safety at all times.
Project Process
The site was secured and access cradles were set up to facilitate the removal of the existing cladding. The cladding was placed into the metal waste containers and removed from site.
Using Hydrajaws equipment we were able to perform a pull out test on the concrete structure to confirm its suitability for steel support sections, in conjunction with our Structural Engineer who reported findings to the client.
Where necessary repairs to the concrete and brickwork were carried out ready for the installation of the new cladding. The steel supports were fitted and new 0.7mm plastisol coated steel cladding panels and closure flashing details were installed.
