David Lloyd Club, Bristol — August 2025
Project Type: To supply and install new gutters, roof panels, wall cladding and all closure flashings and components to a new spa garden extension at David Lloyd Club Bristol
Objective: To encapsulate the new steel structure installed by others with Kingspan KS1000LP roof panels and Microrib wall panels, incorporating gutters and downpipes. All installed to manufactures recommendations and specifications. Building envelope to comply with all Building Regulations and Part L requirements.
System: Membrane Lined Insulated Gutters, KS1000LP roof panels, Kingspan Microrib wall panels, closure flashings, parapet wall panels and all system ancilliaries.
Project: As a preferred contractor with David Lloyd Leisure Clubs for over 15 years, our client instructed us to work with their contract team to supply and install a new building envelope to their Spa garden project. We installed safety netting to the underside of the roof steels and organised a crane lift to place all materials on to the roof area to facilitate the installation of the gutter and roof coverings to the link corridor and roof of the extension. Works were coordinated with the site team pulling together to deliver the project for our client.
David Lloyd Club, Newhaven, Edinburgh — May 2025
System: New Bespoke Manufactured Triple Skin Barrel Vault Rooflight 30 l/m
Project Type: To replace storm damaged rooflight and make the roof area secure and watertight.
As a preferred contractor with David Lloyd Leisure Clubs for over 15 years, our client instructed us to supply and install a new bespoke rooflight, to an aperture created by a storm which tore sections of the old rooflight out.
We attended the Club and secured the aperture with a tarpaulin and timber supports whilst we had the bespoke rooflight manufactured. Once the new rooflight was delivered to site we set up access line and ropes which our operatives were secured to using PRD harnesses designed for this application.
All temporary coverings and remaining rooflight sections where removed from the roof area using a telescopic mechanical forklift and the new roof was installed, in accordance with manufactures recommendations and specifications. The result was not only a safe secure rooflight but a much improved light quality in the tennis hall.

For example, David Lloyd Club Hatfield had ongoing leaks throughout their building at the old Hatfield Aerodrome. Roofmaster provided urgently required repairs. North light glazing was overlaid using a new lightweight watertight GRP system running into a new cut to fall timber gulley as part of the weatherproof membrane works. South facing slopes were overlaid using a high performance Polyester based mineral faced cap sheet with elastomeric properties to allow for thermal movement of the aluminium structural deck.
